Elie Khoury, Managing Director-Head of Hotel assets, oversees all operations deliverables for hotel asset management. He has been serving as a subject matter expert in a hotel leadership role for 34 years. Elie has led food & beverage, hotel engineering, rooms, brand excellence, new build and transitions support teams all focused on elevating hotel performance and building strong relationships with all lodging brands.
Most recently, Elie was managing director for Murphy Asset Management representing owners and supervising management companies’ performance. He was also involved in new acquisition, financing and RFP for management and brand selection for assets.
Previously, Elie was Executive Vice President of Operations, responsible for Hotel operations at Aimbridge Hospitality. He led a team of experts in all aspects of hotel support, include training and career development.
Prior Elie was responsible for a large portfolio of branded hotels including Marriott, AC Hotels, Sheraton and Luxury Collection. He worked closely with a variety of ownership groups including REITs, private equity, pension funds, investment groups, individual investors, and institutional lenders. Elie began his career in food & beverage where he was instrumental in developing several restaurant concepts. He joined Interstate Hotels & Resorts in 1986 where he held leadership positions in operations departments, evolving to general manager, area general manager and Vice President of Operations roles.
Elie currently serves as the 1st Vice President for the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association (THLA), the largest state hotel association in the country. He is also a member of the hospitality board of the California State University East Bay, HRT CPE Board, Hospitality Recreation and Tourism school.
Elie previously served as President of the Board of the Oakland CVB (2009 to 2011). In this role, he was instrumental in working closely with the city administrators to re-brand Oakland and develop social programs to promote the downtown district
